so it’s that time again the time for joy and happiness in the u.s a time where we all cherish one another as equally valuable human beings where we get to choose who will be the next president of the united states with a mutual understanding and love for one another and no matter who wins we will all feel like we are represented in this amazing phenomenon that is the american democracy just kidding it’s a Fucking mess so the election season is upon us and we are stuck with either a corporate anti-environment anti-medicare for all pro-lobbying and pro-wall street candidate and donald trump just for your information that was a joke they’re both awful now you may be wondering who should you vote for who and what should you do as a leftist is this circus even worth it or is it just that a circus except the circus or the american public is walking on the thin line and both biden and trump are about to set it on fire in this video rather than to trick and lie to you to persuade you to think or do something we’ll try to enlighten you and offer a new way of looking at things so you probably heard the leftist twitter and youtube space talk about how biden is either the lesser evil or harm reductor and in this election i consider a vote for biden primarily a vote against trump biden is objectively better than trump when it comes to climate change biden is a lesser evil compared to donald trump if implemented will make biden the most progressive president uh since fdr so we won’t be making a case for biden in this video rather we’ll make the opposite why biden may be the greater evil from a leftist perspective and why you should vote for a third party oh biden biden biden where do we even begin you see the main reasons for voting for biden all come from the argument of harm reduction or more appropriately named lesser evil really though biden isn’t even the lesser evil let’s break it down to a few out of many reasons environment crime bill racism war and democrats supposedly being better let’s tackle them shall we joe biden when he was vice president has overseen a great expansion in fracking on top of that recently he was rather clear he is not not not banning fracking period but it’s not just biden democrats in the house passed a bill that over a hundred climate justice organizations rallied against both biden and trump campaigns are strongly for it neither biden nor the democrats are willing to do anything about fracking but wait what’s the vote for biden argument again that the progressives will be able to minimize the harm and dangers from the unpopular biden proposals well about that a single-payer health care system such as medicare for all a green new deal overhauling environmental policy and doing away with immigration and customs enforcement are not among the policy proposals ladies and gentlemen this is not progressives holding biden’s feet on fire it’s not doing anything and if they cannot exert pressure now make biden cave into their demands to earn their support then it’s not a strategy as a lot of people voting for biden think it’s cowardice it’s not appealing to the millions of people who voted for bernie to try to sow them it’s cowardice joe biden’s famous crime bill from 1994 states the grand bill contains specialized enforcement provisions respecting immigration and criminal aliens those programs are highlighted here 1.2 billion dollars for border control criminal alien deportations asylum reform and a criminal alien tracking center so much so for biden stopping evil donny from locking up and deporting immigrants and their children but that’s biden in 1994 maybe he had a change of heart after all 26 years is a long time maybe his vice president he changed his ways oh nah as vice president he and obama have deported more people than any other president including trump this was up to 2016 just four years ago this is consistent if anything biden not reporting immigrants sound mass which he did for the past 40 years of his political career would be a change not the other way around the crime bill also has some awesome provisions such as three strikes mandatory life imprisonment with the possibility of parole for federal offenders with three or more convictions for serious violent felonies or drug trafficking crimes rural law enforcement formula grant program for rural anti-crime and drug enforcement efforts including task forces 240 million dollars authorized this has put millions of people in the prison system some for life without a possibility of parole for the awful crime of having pot on them this leads to another brought up point for biden millions were imprisoned many of those for non-violent offenses and they will spend the rest of their lives behind bars thanks to joe biden who drafted the devastating crime bill many of them were african-americans or as biden likes to call them predators on our streets the crime bill was a huge blow to those communities it tore families apart turned neighborhoods into crime dense and destroyed the lives and futures of millions he opposed busing because integrated schools could lead his children to growing up in a racial jungle the policy of legislation of marijuana is something biden and the democratic party actually oppose despite the fact that 8 in 10 democrats support this position this won’t change if he’s president it won’t change if democrats control the government either how lovely nothing will fundamentally change says biden and in all honesty why not believe him he’s telling the truth and his record shows it as to the issue of foreign policy and war sure trump was terrible when it came to letting israel move its capital to jerusalem and perpetrating the assassination of an iranian general suleimani but the road to war in iran was already being paved under the obama administration in the end however there are zero conflicts which trump started meanwhile obama increased them from two to five do you think that biden won’t go full warhawk given how he has voted for the iraq war waged a proxy war in libya and syria and was one of the principal architects of the bosnia war in the clinton administration come on is it really so naive that a politician with a terrible track record of supporting war would be willing to declare even more wars compared to donald trump who caused none it’s donald trump who is the exception of having caused no new conflict since any president in the post-world war ii era not joseph biden biden is terrible and he isn’t better than donald trump it was him and obama who deported more than any other president it was him and obama who imprisoned so many black people that there’s a higher proportion of black people in u.s prisons than there was under apartheid in south africa it was biden and obama who increased the number of wars from two to five so when one last argument that is thrown out there is that if democrats can control the presidency and the house then the progressive forces in the senate and congress could blunt the anti-progressive elements of biden compared to donald trump and the republicans who would just go full pro corporates well let’s tackle it on top of all these deep rooted problems with biden and the narrative that he’s better even if we are to assume that he’ll be as bad as trump at least the democrats have an executive that won’t oppose them and hence will let more progressive and meaningful change happen right well consider this democrats have a veneer of being for social and environmental justice and generally being the lesser evil however it is precisely because they have that veneer while at the same time being financed by big energy companies that if they get to be in power they will use their pr machine to pass anti-environmental laws and laugh in your face while telling you that they are actually protecting their environment so they can actually be way worse if the republicans control the senate on the other hand then there’s always this political theater there’s this opposition from the democrats where they can at least pretend to be against environmental destruction because the republican parties are doing it but on the other hand if it’s the democrats themselves doing it then there won’t be any resistance mounted to resist democrats passing anti- environmental laws neither by bernie or aoc or anyone because they are lackies to their party the democrats and bernie dropped any environmental demands from the democratic platform recently after all the game is stacked against you and having the devil decide may be better than voting for the thinly veiled backstabber because the devil is in the open the backstabber waits and pretends to be on your side by the way this isn’t far-fetched at all because this [ __ ] happened under obama he expanded fracking he caused multiple wars more than bush so it’s not even a hypothetical based on a random speculation no this is going back to the last democratic president barack obama only four years ago for all these reasons and many more such as biden consistently advocating for social security cuts opposing medicare for all voting for the patriot act making sure student debt can’t be discharged in bankruptcy voting to repeal glass-steagall voting for nafta and overall representing corporate interests obama biden’s presidency was worse than bush on so many levels it’s inexcusable the idea that a democrat presidency is somehow better than a republican one should have been once for all categorically dismissed as clear-cut [ __ ] in 2016. but here we [ __ ] are so then what’s the solution vote trump of course not you cannot replace one corrupt oligarch who is responsible for the degradation of this country with yet another corrupt oligarch who is also responsible for the degradation of this country the narrative of reducing harm doesn’t really work so we’ll make a case for why you should vote for a third party you may have heard that voting for third party is a waste of time and vote that you should simply not vote since what’s the point but there’s a neat little trick which comes into play and that is if a third party secures at least five percent of the popular vote in relation to the top two choices then they’ll be entitled to receive a public funding grant a minor party candidate is a nominee of a party whose candidate received between five and 25 percent of total popular vote in the preceding presidential election the amount of public funding to which a minor party candidate is entitled is based on the ratio of the party’s popular vote in preceding presidential election to the average popular vote for the two major party candidates in that election the green party advocates for anti-war policies green new deal universal health care aka actual leftist policies that five percent may really change the future of this country they will be able to advertise themselves publicly challenge the two-party status quo by being a legitimate and uncompromised popular leftist opposition your vote for the green party therefore isn’t a wasted vote it’s a vote which grants them access to public funds and it’s not about the lesser evil anymore your vote is for the good you’re not taking a gamble by pretending that biden isn’t any way better so you might as well vote third party it’s your safest and most reasonable choice even if you’re in a swing state do you honestly think that biden may be better that it’s your job to give him the win and therefore be partially to blame for the war crimes that will be committed under the biden administration wouldn’t it send a much more powerful message if a significant part of the electorate in the swing states decided [ __ ] it we’re going green and we won’t be playing by your corrupt washington rules and if you’re a right winger watching this you must know that neither trump nor pelosi want to give people covet relief now fellow american country folk are hurting and the system failed them during a pandemic you may not want to vote green but a vote for third party like the anti-war pro-legislation libertarians is still better than a vote for the two- party establishment this however applies only to the presidential election if your congressman slash senator represents you well and is under threat then you may consider voting for them even if they are part of the establishment yet despite whether you were convinced to vote green or not a question still remains how much do votes actually matter is voting really as powerful as we make it out to be because if so why do so many of us feel unimportant and unrepresented in our government it goes far beyond having a woman of color or any other person who’s of some marginalized background to be represented as iterated here nobody actually supports biden kamala why else do you think the quasi-slogan settle for biden exists we convince ourselves to vote for a lesser of two evils yet majority of us do not even know or understand how biden is evil otherwise we would not feel circumscribed to vote within this dichotomy that still exists on one side the side of individualism and capitalism if american representative democracy was as legitimate as we make it out to be whether we regard it as triumphant and supreme or just in need of some tweaking then how did it lead to this if you vote for biden or for trump can you confidently look at him his history and what he stands for now and say that he represents you and your community because at the end of the day as much as they can express that they have your best interest in mind what matters most to them is what is profitable and to make themselves more profitable to the voters they depend on and intensify their cults of personality because this is essentially what this really is a battle between two cults of personality is the american public really a pledge to these cults if this system truly worked as advertised then there would be transparency the fact that the average american does not know or care about biden’s pro fracking initiative slash policies or trump’s approval of oil and gas drilling in alaska’s arctic national wildlife refuge just solidifies that this democracy this voting power is all a facade it’s a facade for the american public to give into and contract themselves into a cult of personality that doesn’t have their well-being and best interest in mind it only has profit in mind this is why climate change basic medical needs or anything else of the sort is not met this is why we can’t even fully detail the values policies or history of our candidates this isn’t the fault of the people this is a consequence of the system the system that values profit over people voting therefore can’t be the solution so then what is so what do we do after the election whether it’s biden or trump there’s only one solution direct action direct action is uniting and organizing protests public events participating in various creative activities such as music trying creating posters for propaganda and helping strikes across the country grind the capitalist machinery to a halt historically direct action did have a massive effect on u.
