  • Hi everyone. This is Sitara at Ring and a lot of you have been asking what is the difference between our Floodlight Cam and our Spotlight Cam? So let’s dive in. [MUSIC PLAYS] - So first, what they have in common is they both have up to 1080p HD video, Live View, Two-way talk, Advanced Motion Detection, Night Vision, Remote Activated Siren, and being able to manually control your external lights, which they both have. So, what is the difference between our Floodlight Cam and our Spotlight Cams? The first one would be power, with our Floodlight Cam, you have to use the junction box and it’s hardwired. With our Spotlight Cam, you have four different power options. With our Spotlight Cam Mount, you can even use a junction box to hardwire it. With our Spotlight Cam Wired.

00:50 - you plug it in directly into a standard wall outlet. With our Spotlight Cam Battery, you use one of our Quick Release Batteries, and you can even add a second one as backup power. And for our Spotlight Cam Solar, you can add an additional Solar Panel to help charge your device. The other big difference is the external lights. So, with our Spotlight Cam, the LED lights are built into the casing along with the camera, whereas with our Floodlight Cams, the lights are external and adjustable, so you can customize them to best fit your needs.
