And so, we not just get a boring Flatpak Firefox, but we get the latest and greatest Mozilla Foundation can give! But to do so, we first need to enable Flathub beta. If you’re unsure how to do that, you need to open a serious web- browser, and I mean Chrome, and read the official baby WOGUE instructions. Now we have Flathub beta, we simply need to open a terminal, and do “flatpak install firefox”. We want to use the Flathub beta remote, so that’s number 3 for me! Then we have two more options, the beta, and the master. And obviously I’ll pick master!! Hmm, to be honest, I’m not sure how often this updates, but I doubt it will be daily.
00:54 - Pff, I wish that was Chrome loading instead :( Okay, done! So I’m closing this and gonna open Firefox! Oh, and by the way? I already have removed the native Firefox package. Whatever package isn’t a core Linux or desktop package, it is just polluting your Linux!! On Help and About, we can see that’s a Flatpak build, and Firefox version is 76, with the current stable release being 74! Which reminds me to troll Snapcraft!! So latest available version is 75, and till the Snap launches, Firefox 77 will be out already! And if that’s not enough, Snaps even delay the boot and shutdown of the PC. And I don’t talk about a regression, but that’s the normal! Hmm? I think this video needs one last thing.. Boom! 💣💣 GNOME Size compatibility :pp .
