In this video tutorial, you will learn how to customize when and how to receive Milestone CARE renewal reminders and system error notifications from the Milestone Customer Dashboard. First, we need to log into My Milestone. We enter our name and password and then select Log In. We select Reseller Portal. If the Reseller Portal doesn’t appear in your My Milestone account, contact your Milestone representative to request access. Then we select Customer Dashboard. Next, select Access the Customer Dashboard. Then select Notification Manager. Two main types of notifications are shown here: system error notifications and CARE license renewals.

01:05 - Gathering these two types of information improves ease-of-use and allows system integrators to control all their email notifications in one place. It also allows integrators to customize and control who receives which notifications and how often, as well as adjust the system to their time zone. We would now like to set up error reports so we select Setup to begin. Error reports are instant alerts and summary reports of the health of your servers, listing any errors detected. These reports can be sent to any recipient but require the recipient to opt in to receive emails. We select Error reports.

01:48 - We enter a valid email address for the recipient, as well as first and last names. Next, we enter the time zone. We want to receive a digest of errors every 24 hours so we select the Send error report summary every: check box. Then select the Interval dropdown list and select 24 hours. Instead of a summary every 24 hours, we could choose to receive an instant report for every error. But we’re going to stay with the summary report so we’ll select Continue.

02:28 - The status remains pending until the recipient accepts the subscription to the error report. Next, we’ll set up Milestone CARE reminders. First, we’ll select Set up. With Milestone CARE reminders, you can receive reminders about expiring Milestone CARE coverage of licenses. We start by selecting Milestone CARE reminders. Reminders can be sent only to contacts in your account and do not require opt-in to receive emails. Let’s select the Send care reminders for: dropdown list. We have the option to send reminders for licensed groups, or all licenses. Here, we select NRG Notify. Then select Create. Now that we’ve set up the notification, we select Close.
