I’m Andy from Riedel and in this video we’re gonna be talking about the meaning of the term conference. Now, in the intercom world, when we say conference it’s actually very close to the normal word meaning of conference, it’s basically a lot of people who are talking together just like a conference. Another term that we can also use for conference is party line, pretty much because all the parties in the conference are together on one line. The idea is that when one person speaks everyone else can hear it, although in the Riedel system we can set up a conference with different permissions so that depending on who you are, you’re either allowed to talk and listen, or just listen, or in somestrange cases, neither. .
