Quick warning: This is just a video diary where I film my daily attempt on doing stuffs. Soo, prepare to be disappointed if you came expecting a pro chef :D Let’s go!! So first, grab your white legal powder. Honestly I don’t think I got the right flour… But I don’t wanna go out so I’ll just use what’s available and similar at home ¯\(ツ)/¯ Next, MEASURE the white powder to 200gr. What we are making is, a hot cake mix~ they are usually used for fwuffy pancwakes, but i’m using it for a cake bcs im a rebel >:) Usually you can buy these packaged on supermarket..

01:34 - But I’m a cheapskate and I’d rather make my own at home :)) But you can’t make everything by yourself.. so.. >:( So I had to buy this powdered/icing sugar yesterday!! Icing sugar, powdered sugar, they’re just fancy names, they are the same~ Just like us all~ (no don’t get wise all of the sudden) Scoop out 6 tablespoon of the powdered sugar, but!! If you like it super sweet, then I do recommend you adding more~ Thoouughh, you might get THICCer as you eat it… But what’s another kg on your scale compared to the sweet, creamy, rich chocolate cake, right? :) Add 4 tsp of baking powder! (i added too little and it was stale. shame on me. shame.) I promise I’ll get a new one for the next video.. TT~ Anyway, we are almost done with the hot cake mix~ The last step is to sift it aka separate it from the bad, clumpy bits~ If you think about it, doesn’t this seem like what your life needs? I mean..

sifting those toxic people from your life, because you deserve all the good in this world! :D 02:57 - Ok ahem, I’m getting too personal and cheesy here, excuse me as I hide in embarassment, enjoy sifting ASMR. And, our hot cake mix is done! You can use this for cake, but also for breakfast, fluffy pancakes! And now, for the highlight of the show.. dudududu.. The main protagonist, tofu-kun!! In my place, they usually come in 300gr pack… But you don’t need them all! Just use ¾ of them. (around 200-250 gr) For this particular recipe, I’m using a soft silken tofu! They are very soft and fragile (like me haha ;)) and since we’re going to squish and mix it..

04:06 - The soft silken tofu will do its job better than the firm one! See how easily it’s cut.. satisfying ah~ Keep the rest for other cooking needs! Now we’re gonna give tofu-kun the tragic backstory of being beaten severely :D We do this so then later tofu-kun the protagonist the has motivation to grow big as the choccy cake :DD (what am i talking about) It takes quite a long time but at least it’s not as long as making the dalgona coffee whip (traumatized) Haa I’m tired… Now add the hot cake mix~ Be careful not to spill them everywhere!! Next, the cocoa powder!! (or any powder really, matcha, banana, strawberry, whatever you feel like~) Add 4 tablespoon of the powder. Then, add 300ml milk or more until you reach the consistency on the video.. Don’t be like me, at the video I only added around 200ml milk :D Then, mix mix mix~ After reaching this consistency, add 1 teaspoon of essence rum! …

or vanilla extract is fine as well, I just prefer essence rum for this recipe~ 06:06 - Uff the smell… overwhelming.. must mix mix I don’t like alcohol, they’re… bitter and smells weird ((just my personal opinion)) So next, pour the batter down to a (preferably 15-18 cm) baking pan covered with baking sheet! Don’t forget to grease it with butter beforehand so it will slide off more easily~ This part was unnecessary but I felt so annoyed by the messy sheet.. so :D Shake it so it will be spread equally! After preheating the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees celcius, Bake it at the same 180 degrees celcius for 30 to 40 minutes! Smells nice~ the cocoa is very strong and aromatic~ hot, hot… Too bad it’s not as fluffy as I expected it to be D: maybe I didn’t beat tofu-kun enough jk Next, we’re gonna refrigerate it for 1 hour to let it cool down~ Don’t put away the mold yet, refrigerate it together to keep the shape.

07:44 - Take the mold away after you’re done refrigerating it! For the finishing touch, cover with powdered/icing sugar and… it’s pretty! (flat) So here, even without eggs, you can still make cake… i actually made this video since my friend’s allergic to egg, so i made them a recipe without eggs in it~ It may not look as fluffy and pretty, but at least it tastes good! and it’s soft too~ creamy, rich dark chocolate that melts in your mouth~ I expected a tofu aftertaste or anything like that but no, there’s none! It tastes just like your usual chocolate brownies or cake! Be sure to give it a try if you’re dieting and is craving a cake~ .
