- Good evening. Welcome back to another vlog.

00:02 - Today’s about 5:00 PM on a Monday, had a very busy day.

00:06 - Filmed some videos, FaceTimed with my good friend Macy for like two and a half hours, something like that.

00:12 - Did some editing, sent some footage off to be cut down, you know, typical day.

00:17 - But while I was on FaceTime with Macy, I’m trying to put on my slippers as we talk.

00:21 - While I was on FaceTime with Macy, I noticed that I- ‘cause I had my blinds open and like the curtains open in the filming room that I was in and it was raining.

00:29 - It’s been raining for the last, like, off and on week or so.

00:32 - When I had the window open, I was looking out and all of a sudden I could see like crazy wind and I was like, “Oh, neat storms coming. ” Then all of a sudden I started seeing like big chunks of debris, like flying by the window and trees just like looking like rubber.

00:46 - And I was like, Whoa, it literally almost was like a micro burst or something like that.

00:51 - Like it seemed so windy and so crazy. I’m on FaceTime with her this entire time and I’m like, “Hold on. Sorry.

00:57 - I know you’re right in the middle of a sentence but some shit is about to go down”, and I’m looking out the window and I can hear Drew being like, “I don’t think you should be upstairs. ” So I come down and I’m looking out in the backyard and we’re just like, “whoa”, like there’s crazy lightning, crazy wind, and I’m like, alright.

01:13 - So I go back upstairs and Macy and I were talking and then all of a sudden I hear this loud, like bang.

01:18 - It like shook the house. And so I thought that something had blown and like hit the house cause there were like chairs falling over.

01:24 - I thought maybe it was like one of the trash cans on the side yard that had like the wind had blown it up against the house.

01:31 - And actually what it was was one of our trees in the backyard split in half and fell on the backyard fence along with the next door neighbors house.

01:40 - So I figured I would show you about damage.

01:42 - This is an exciting day in our lives. So the wind somehow completely tore up this rug.

01:49 - Also these chairs were knocked over, but we’ve since fixed it.

01:52 - There’s just debris all over the entire yard. It’s crazy.

01:56 - Egg chair somehow stayed up and all of these chairs, which are like kind of flimsy stayed up.

02:01 - But this one like blew back a little bit. So we just have like branches and debris all over the freaking yard. It’s crazy.

02:09 - On this middle tree, this big Mesquite tree we have here in the backyard, a bunch of branches blew off.

02:15 - This one right here in the middle. Like, she just snapped, which I can honestly relate to at the moment.

02:21 - Yeah. So like these big branches were just blowing around everywhere.

02:24 - This thing got blown over, which is really sad.

02:27 - This like, Agave or whatever it is, some type of cactus succulent plant.

02:30 - And then the big one. This is a huge, huge tree that puts so much shade in our yard.

02:37 - But the entire thing is broken. Branches completely blown over.

02:41 - And then, as you can see around the back here, completely split in half.

02:49 - Like what? It must have already started like rotting or something, and then maybe the wind just like, sent it over the edge, but freaking nuts.

02:58 - They’re going to have landscapers coming tomorrow.

02:59 - So I don’t know if it means that they’re going to remove the entire tree or if they’re just going to like, cut this part off.

03:05 - I mean, I don’t know how it would survive, which is really sad.

03:09 - And then yep. This I’m not going to like show too much of the neighbor’s house.

03:13 - Cause I don’t want to invade their privacy but it completely has gone over about seven feet into their yard and it is on the roof of their house.

03:21 - So anyways, I’m not going to be a little weirdo and um, film their house ‘cause that’s weird.

03:26 - But also the last thing, that this giant branch blew over here.

03:30 - So very eventful Monday, if I do say so myself but somehow today was trash day, and somehow the trash bins, the empty trash bins, didn’t blow over at all in the street, which is crazy.

03:41 - A freaking tree split in half but the trash bins stayed intact.

03:45 - So anyways, we’re going to make some dinner.

03:47 - We’re doing Pierogies. We haven’t had them since I showed them on Blog Myths.

03:51 - We’re going to do the applesauce and sour cream thing again.

03:53 - I’m actually like kind of into that now. Oh, that was stuck in the bottom of my slipper.

04:00 - But I just figured this would be a fun memory for like Drew and myself to look back on in time.

04:05 - Like not only did I want to show you guys, but also for us to look back and be like, “Oh, remember that storm?” ‘Cause you know, winter storms, aren’t that popular here.

04:12 - It’s usually like summer monsoons. Yeah. But this was a good one.

04:16 - - [Drew] And Southern Phoenix? - Oh yeah. I forgot even to say that.

04:19 - Then it started hailing after the lightning struck, or whatever that was, wind, whatever it was.

04:24 - And then my mom texted me and she was like, “did you get snow?” I was like, “what?” and she sent me a picture.

04:30 - I mean the snow here means like barely a dusting.

04:34 - Yeah. Phoenix apparently got a little bit of snow.

04:36 - - [Drew] Yeah, it was North Central Phoenix.

04:37 - - Yeah, absolutely nuts. So yeah. My mom’s side of town, like where we used to live, actual real snow.

04:43 - I should also mention that somebody who, for a dog that grew up in Tennessee, is very scared of storms.

04:50 - Remember you were so scared? She went and laid up in the filming room with me, where I was talking to Macy and I ended up having to pet her for about 45 minutes nonstop until she finally fell asleep.

05:02 - Cause she doesn’t like storms. Huh? I do not like them.

05:05 - They scare me and I don’t want them near me.

05:07 - Moo slept through the entire thing. He literally did not care because he is a serial killer.

05:11 - Thoughts on the storm? - [Offscreen] What storm? - He said y’all are a bunch of pussies.

05:18 - Hello, it is now a couple of days later. Today is Thur-, Wednesday, Thursday.

05:24 - Today is Thursday. Just finished up work for the both of us.

05:28 - And now I wanted to show you first, before we eat dinner actually, I got a package from Outdoorsy.

05:33 - They reached out and said, this is the people who rented us the RV when we went to Northern Arizona a few months ago.

05:40 - They sent us like, just this cute little like, New Year’s package and I wanted to show you cause it’s so adorable.

05:46 - Just like I don’t get like PR packages, really.

05:49 - I just think they’re wasteful, but this is so cool.

05:52 - So it came with this really cool outdoor backpack.

05:56 - It has like a bottle holder. It has all these different pockets.

05:59 - It’s going to come in handy like whenever we go camping in the future or like, I don’t know, if we went to like the beach, the lake, something like that.

06:07 - It also has this little can opener on it that says Outdoorsy. It’s so cute.

06:12 - It also came with this blanket. I haven’t even opened it yet to see if it’s fuzzy.

06:16 - Oh yeah. Very, very soft, like super, super fuzzy.

06:20 - It came with these North American wildflower seeds, which is so freaking cute.

06:26 - We might plant these in like a pot or something.

06:28 - Oh, a prepared garden site of approximately 20 square feet.

06:32 - Well, we don’t have that, so we’ll see. It also came with this water bottle and another like, Hydroflask type of situation with two different lids, like come on.

06:41 - A mug, a little camping mug. Oh, Drew loves a big mug, so he’s very excited about that.

06:47 - It came with this little lantern/flashlight.

06:51 - So you can do this way. You can hold it this way if you want it to be a flashlight or you can pull it up, I’m one handed, but you can pull it up to make it a lantern, so that’s cool. And then some patches. How cute.

07:01 - So thank you so much Outdoorsy. That’s such a thoughtful gift.

07:04 - Oh, he’s got the Oregon sweatshirt on folks.

07:07 - - I’m cold. - He’s worn it maybe three days this week.

07:10 - Let us know in the comments if you are also wearing the same sweats on a repetitive cycle.

07:16 - But what- this light. No bad, bad, bad. But one thing I thought would be funny to mention is, I was going to tell them about the neighbors thing.

07:27 - Okay. I’m going to be honest, alright? I’m going to be perfectly honest with you.

07:32 - I have stalked our old neighbors on Instagram before.

07:36 - We used to get their mail, so I know their names and I found the majority of them on Instagram.

07:42 - So sure, from time to time I have checked in to see if they’re having a bad time and they’re not.

07:49 - Also, if you’ve subscribed to my channel, since we lived in LA, check out a playlist.

07:54 - I’ll link it down below. It’s called Neighbor Nightmares.

07:56 - We had the worst experience with neighbors and it’s funny now.

08:01 - I definitely will need to discuss it with a therapist someday.

08:04 - But regardless, this was like a huge part of my 2020.

08:07 - So the other night Moo was crying at like four in the morning.

08:12 - And Drew woke up, I think fed him or something like that and fell back asleep, but I was wide awake.

08:16 - Like if something wakes me up, I’m up. I just can’t fall back asleep. I don’t have that ability.

08:22 - So I was wide awake, scrolling through Instagram, scrolling through Twitter, scrolling through YouTube.

08:26 - So bored out of my mind. And so I was like, “Hmm, I’m going to get on my fake Instagram” and start stalking all the old neighbors.

08:32 - We can talk about hate stalking people in another video.

08:35 - It’s not healthy. Don’t do it. I don’t do it frequently and I won’t be doing it anymore after this because it just shows that like, no, I need to be doing other things with my time.

08:44 - But anyways, I’m just being honest. I did it.

08:45 - And I saw an old neighbor share this image.

08:49 - I’m trying to be careful about how I word this because as much as I want to share everything I feel like someone’s going to ruin it and like, either that person’s identity is going to get revealed, which I genuinely don’t want.

09:00 - That’s not the point of making these videos.

09:02 - It’s just for entertainment. I’m not trying to get like revenge or anything like that.

09:05 - I just genuinely like want to share ‘cause I think it’s funny.

09:08 - So I would love to share this in full, but I’m going to have to like dial it back a little bit.

09:12 - I just want to make sure that like, I’m covering my own ass, you know? So anyway, I see the link to a song.

09:20 - When he woke up the next morning, I was like, we were awake talking for like 30 minutes.

09:23 - And then I was like, “Oh my God, wait, I just remembered.

09:26 - I have something to show you. “ And we were listening to it and just looking at each other like, the premise of the song was just like, “Fuck you.

09:34 - I’m gonna make as much noise as I want because this is my house. “ It’s not by the way, it’s a rental.

09:40 - But anyways, - [Drew] So I think they had - So they had to have either somebody who moved into our apartment, like someone who moved into our old place probably had it out with them or the people who lived on the other side of them.

09:53 - Maybe eventually like snapped, or someone else.

09:56 - I mean, it seems like multiple people. - [Drew] Yeah. Well I wouldn’t be surprised if, if the, cause they were all friends, all of the. .

10:04 - - Well, they became friends. - They became friends.

10:06 - All the neighbors he had trouble with, they all became friends.

10:09 - I wouldn’t be surprised if their parties began to go outside of their apartment, like in the courtyard.

10:17 - - Well, they did some nights, remember? - But I’m just saying like, to the point where it affected the other neighbors.

10:22 - - Cause they all sort of joined forces and became this gigantic fraternity/sorority.

10:28 - We just thought it was so funny that they made a song basically being like “I don’t care that I’m being a nuisance. ” - Like sure have fun.

10:36 - - It’s my house. - Have fun, you’re in your twenties.

10:39 - - I wish I could play the song! - You’re stuck in your apartment for God knows how long.

10:43 - - Yeah. - But you have to be considerate with the people that live around you.

10:48 - - It gets basically like, “Hey, look at me, I’m inconsiderate. ” We thought it was funny. Like we weren’t mad at all.

10:55 - We were genuinely like laughing. You look mad right now.

10:58 - But I think you’re joking. - I just hate them.

11:00 - - I know like, Drew is more triggered by them that I am and people used to be like, “you’re being such a Karen, blah, blah, blah”, and I’m like, “meet the other Karen”.

11:08 - - Keith? Kyle? Keith? - You’re- I- I don’t know.

11:11 - - I think it’s Kyle or Keith they call, but no, no, it’s just the, it’s just the blatant disrespect for people that it just, it really grinds my gears.

11:21 - - And it does like, you know, listening to that and sort of seeing the photo, it can be a little bit triggering.

11:26 - You can be like put back into that position.

11:28 - It was just funny. So maybe we were lumped into that category because we were also - I don’t think so.

11:32 - - Listen, it’s funny, but I thought I documented the entire like, nightmare neighbor situation, so I thought it would be pretty funny to give you an update.

11:42 - That’s clearly what they’ve been up to. That’s going to do it for today’s vlog.

11:47 - Hope you enjoyed this update. So we’re going to go eat our what’s it called? Chicken and dumplings and we will catch up with next time.

11:54 - Bye. (upbeat outro music).
