Conservative: Trump is destroying everything

My name is Todd Herder. I grew up in the Midwest, in Texas and the Southwest, and now I live in Oregon in the Northwest. I came of age as a Reagan conservative and a William F. Buckley fan. For decades, I voted Republican to support a principled compassionate conservativism. I can’t vote for Donald Trump in 2020. Clearly seeing him as an opportunist with no principles. His campaign is meant to exploit anger, resentment, and divisiveness, not offering solutions, just more anger.
00:36 - And my son, as a retired army Sergeant who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, neither of us can believe that Trump became commander-in-chief. Early on, Trump’s first cabinet appointments suggested that there might be some seriousness and steadiness in his administration, but now most all of them have left. They flat out ran, preserving and hanging out for as long as they could. Only Trump’s family and his cronies are hanging on. His daily tweet storms and fragile ego show he is dangerously ignorant and incompetent. And it’s just downright disturbing.

I don’t agree with everything Joe Biden and the Democrats have got going, but I have to vote to stop the damage Trump is doing to our democratic institutions and the damage he’s doing for national character. .
