So, we have an embedded Terminal Plugin for GNOME Files, that actually it should be a default feature. The installation instructions are on Github, so I won’t get bothered with those. So we open Nautilus, and with F4 we reveal the Terminal! That’s same shortcut as Dolphin Files, and I’m using it for 2 days now without much of complains. If we navigate inside a folder, Terminal will also go to the path. And if we go back, Terminal will follow. One thing I would prefer, is for Terminal to open on a different tab instead of the same view, so we can have some more space. That we can’t do.

00:43 - What we can do is to open a new tab, and now we see we don’t have Terminal. So we can go to the previous tab and maximize the Terminal like this. And so, now on one tab we have our files and on the other a Terminal. That’s a total different thing than having a separated Terminal app, and GNOME Files should had that already. Another thing is Nautilus poor plugins support, so we can’t have Plugins options inside Files Settings. Instead, we should open GSettings Editor, go to Flozz, and there are some options here. For example, we can move Terminal to the bottom. So if now press F4, Terminal will come from the top again, because we need to restart Nautilus. Pff! Anyway, F4 again, and now Terminal will come from the bottom. I’m not saying everything’s perfect, but it is definitely something you want to have, and I’m using it all the time! Meanwhile, I did warn you in the beginning of the video, didn’t I? if you didn’t get me seriously.. YOUR BAD!! .
